New Product Bulletin - Caterpillar Bracket™

We are pleased to offer our new Caterpillar Bracket. Though developed after our larger Butterfly Bracket, it should be considered its chrysalis due to its smaller size and simplicity.

With the large wings of the Butterfly Bracket removed, the Caterpillar Bracket remains compatible with many styles of bar hangers. Like our Butterfly Bracket, a #10 carriage bolt and wing nut couples either with our Offset Bracket or L-Bracket to offer vertical adjustment. Tightening the wing nut not only blocks the vertical movement, but also locks the bar hangers. Even without the Offset or L-Brackets, bar hanger locking may be achieved by prying out the tapered locking finger.

Suspension from furring strips, EMT, and channel remains exclusive with the Butterfly Bracket, but if suspension from bar hangers is all that is required, our inexpensive and slender Caterpillar Brackets are the logical choice.

Both brackets are made from galvanized steel; the Butterfly Bracket in 18 GA (0.052"), and the Caterpillar Bracket in 22 GA (0.036"). All items are made in progressive dies for the most competitive pricing.
